Asking What Instead of Why?

Proverbs 24:32

"Then, as I looked and thought about it,  I learned this lesson..."

Friend are you facing a trial right now or have a secret fear that you deal with on a daily basis?
If you and I are honest with ourselves the answer is yes, even though others may have no idea what is going on inside our minds and hearts.

When we face our trials or fears head on, we usually  have many different questions for God but the one that is on everyones list is WHY?
Why Lord?
That is a very common and normal question. I'm pretty sure God hears this question quite a lot.

Today I want to challenge all of us to try asking a different question. Let's ask:

LORD, WHAT DO YOU WANT ME TO LEARN FROM THIS?

When we ask the Lord, "What do you want me to learn from this?" He promises He will answer us.
JER. 33:3
"CALL UNTO ME AND I WILL ANSWER YOU AND TELL YOU GREAT AND UNSEARCHABLE THINGS WHICH YOU DO NOT KNOW!"
When we ask and learn the answer to WHAT Lord? we grow closer to Jesus and love Him ever more.
Over the years, I have learned I need to seek God's answers and be obedient to the lessons He has for me.  If I am not willing to learn, change and obey His will for my life, I get stuck in that emotion or situation.
No one wants to be stuck.
In order for there to be a change and forward movement, we must be willing to ask
"WHAT DO YOU WANT ME TO LEARN FROM THIS LORD?"
and then the Holy Spirit moves in us and through us and the changes begin.
I promise YOUR LIFE WILL NEVER BE THE SAME!

Today's thought:

LORD, WHAT DO YOU WANT ME TO LEARN FROM THIS?
Speak Lord, your servant is listening.
