Jesus and Palm Sunday

Mark 11:7

"When they brought the colt to Jesus and threw their cloaks over it, he sat on it."

As we get close to the celebration of Palm Sunday this is a perfect time to grab your Bible, read and study Mark chapter eleven.

In verses 2-7 we read the instructions Jesus gave to two of his disciples, "Go to the village ahead of you and bring back the colt tied there." In this verse Jesus is presenting His omniscience as God. Jesus already knew the colt was tied there and available.
We also see that the two disciples he selected did not argue or question Jesus why? or Are you sure?
The Scripture says that they went and found the colt exactly as Jesus had told them and they were obedient to follow His instructions.

QUESTION:
At this point in your life, can Jesus depend on you to be obedient and follow through on His instructions to you?
Would you have been chosen to be one of the two disciples in verse 1-7?

Verse 8 tells us that Jesus rode into Jerusalem on that donkey like a King. This is explained in
1 Kings 1:33-35 as David placed his son Solomon on a donkey to be anointed as King. The donkey had never been rode before and it was fit for a King!
This is the first time that Jesus presents Himself publicly as the Messiah.
Jesus entered Jerusalem on the donkey as people praised Him saying,
"HOSANNA! HOSANNA!" which means in Greek "save now".

This event fulfilled the Scripture in Zechariah 9:9 written hundreds of years before Christ.
"Rejoice greatly, O Daughter of Zion! Shout, Daughter of Jerusalem! See, your king comes to you, righteous and having salvation, gently and riding on a donkey, on a colt, the foal of a donkey."

QUESTION: How many people have presented themselves as a king  riding on a donkey into the city of Jerusalem?  (Not many if any at all)

This is a Messanic Prophecy fulfilled!
"There are more than 300 prophecies detailing the coming Messiah and all of them were fulfilled in the first century A.D.
In the Bible there are at least 8,362 predictive verses, and 1,817 specific predictions on over 737 different matters.
For every prophecy of Jesus' first coming, there are eight for His Second Coming. The exciting news can be read in the book of Revelation and the wonderful ending is GOD WINS!"
( All the above Information is taken from Chuck Missler's book mentioned below)

QUESTION:
How did Jesus ride into your life?

Conquering King: submitting to Him as Lord
            Gentle Savior: receiving peace
            Rescuer: saved from the pit

Now is the time to get on your knees and Thank Your Lord for saving you and riding into your life!

If you are in need of a Savior, I want to encourage you to go on your knees and seek Him while He may be found.
Jesus Christ is longing and waiting for you to seek Him and ask Him into your Life.
After you have prayed for forgiveness and salvation, get up and  run to the body of Christ (find a follower of Christ, a Bible believing Church)
Next, just like Jesus publicly presented Himself as Messiah, PRESENT YOURSELF PUBLICLY AS A NEW FOLLOWER OF CHRIST, A BORN AGAIN, BORN ANEW, CHRISTIAN.
Then ask for a mentor (A MATURE GODLY CHRISTIAN) to walk you through this new life in Christ.
If you need guidance write us here and we will be more than honored to get you started in your new spiritual walk with your Savior.

Today's Thought:
Jesus, help me live my life like I believe and trust You as MY KING!
