Are you listening and seeking God?
When we read the Scriptures we are listening to the voice of God speaking to us. God speaks to us in and through His Word.
Jeremiah 1:12 "I am watching over my Word to perform it"
How wonderful to know the truth about our God. He is alive and active in our lives through His Word, the Holy Spirit, all of His creation, other godly people, circumstances and all for His Glory.
Job 33:14 "God speaks again and again."
If you do not expect God to speak you won't be able to hear His voice. Quiet your heart and mind long enough to hear His voice and the blessing of discernment for your life and purpose will become clearer. Seek Him while He may be found.
In 1 Samuel 3:10 the young boy hears God's voice and tells God this statement that we should all be saying in our prayers and daily lives:
"Speak Lord, your servant is listening"
Take time today to slow down, sit quietly and listen for the voice of God. Block out the noise of the world and receive the blessing from God.
I encourage you to open your Bible and look up every verse to read for your self. Read the entire chapter and get the context of the verses used.
Every time you read your Bible it will change your life if you desire a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. I can testify that I am changed every time I read the Word of God and can walk with confidence in who I am in Jesus Christ.
