Sanctity of Life Sunday

God is the creator of all life. If you love God you love life. All human beings are created in the image of God and therefore all life is important to God.

Acts 17:25 God is the Giver of Life
Ps. 27:1 God is the Defender of Life
Acts 3:15 God is the Author of Life
John 3:16 God is Everlasting Life

Ps. 139: 13-14 " You (God) created my innermost being; you knit me together in my Mother's womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made."

The innocent tiny baby growing inside of the womb of every Mother cannot speak for themselves therefore we must speak up for them. They must be given the opportunity to be born and live the life God has planned for each one of them. It is the duty of each individual alive and especially Christians,
to ensure the unborn child has the freedom to be born.

God encourages each one of us in Scripture to speak out for the weak that cannot speak for themselves.

Proverbs 31: 8
"Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves, for the rights of all who are destitute."

I realize the statistics are staggering and painfully revealing of the heart ache in the country by the 90 million people affected by abortion. But God gives us hope and a future if we seek Him for forgiveness, healing and restoration.

Hebrews 4:13 " Nothing in all creation is hidden from God's sight.  Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give account."

 "Repent, then,and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord."

If you know someone who has had an abortion or you yourself have had an abortion God's Word speaks to each one of us on the sins of our past and the hope our future.

 "I acknowledged my sin to you and did not cover up my iniquity. I said, 'I will confess my transgressions to the Lord' -and you forgave the guilt of my sin"
Psalm 38:4 "My guilt has overwhelmed me like a burden too heavy to bear."

God is willing to forgive the sinner who repents and seeks a new life in Him. All of us need to choose to forgive ourselves and others as well. Forgiveness is not a feeling but an act of the will.  Recognize the loss you are experiencing, ask God for forgiveness, accept His forgiveness and seek His comfort and healing. There is hope in Christ.

Psalm 38:18 "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit."

Everyone of the human race is important to God and He knows us each by name.
Jeremiah 1:5 "Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart."

Daily Application:

1.Pray for God to heal the brokenhearted and restore their lives.
2.Ask God to give you the strength to stand bold for His commands and teach others to choose life.
3.Seek a deeper walk with the Lord and know His Word with confidence to share His Word with others.
4.Serve and volunteer once a month at a Right to Life or Crisis Pregnancy Center in your area. Each facility is in great need of volunteers to help with the everyday needs of the organization. Be a blessing and God will bless you in return.
