Weekly Devo: Time to take a NEW Step Up for the Lord!

Ps. 37:23
“The Lord directs the steps of the godly. He delights in every detail of their lives.”

Remember the lyrics to that great song by Rich Mullins “Step by Step”. The chorus was so strong and encouraging:

Oh God, You are my God, and I will ever Praise You
I will seek You in the morning, and I will learn to walk in Your ways.
And STEP BY STEP You’ll lead me and I will follow You all of my days.

I loved to sing this worship song in church. I know this sounds corny but my friends and I would march in place as we sang Step by Step. Actually, I confess, we created motions for all the verses and the chorus. Oh those were the days!
Now as I mentor so many other women, I realize that Rich Mullins’ lyrics are so real and applicable to our lives even today. We really do need to step out for Christ and lead as God has lead our generation into this new walk of life.

I know you may be asking the question, “Can God use me?”
The answer is Yes! Lord! Yes!
Don’t worry if you are not perfect. Perfect humans do not exist and never will. Each one of us has grown in our walk with the Lord through our mistakes and choices in life. God has rescued us and wants to use us to help others.

Gal.6: 2 “Share each other’s burdens, and in this way obey the law of Christ.”

The good news for today is that God has a plan and purpose for your life. God is NEVER LATE. No matter what your age or position in life, God wants to use you to lead others in their walk with Christ. (Ps. 32:8) It is TIME TO STEP FORWARD and say Yes Lord! I’m yours. Use me Lord!

God has called us to change the world for Christ, one person at a time and it all begins with you and I. All we can do is give it our best and God will do the rest!

Matthew 6:10 “I pray that whatever is your perfect will for me in heaven will also be accomplished in my life here on earth.”

So how do I apply this to my life this week?
This week be are encouraged to live out loud for Christ and read the Bible everyday. Read Psalms and Proverbs Chapter 1-5 and be blessed!
