Phil. 3:13,14
I do not consider, brethren, that I have captured and made it my own [yet]; but one thing I do [it is my one aspiration]: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead. I press on toward the goal to win the [supreme and heavenly] prize to which God in Christ Jesus is calling us upward.
Are you excited about the New Year beginning in one week?
Or………….
Are you tired and exhausted to do this game of life all over again? Are you worried about what the New Year holds for you, your family and your country? Are you feeling distant from God and the things this world has to offer?
If we are not careful we can get stuck on the worry, lethargic, bored feelings we have towards God and His people. If you are there right now, don't stay there any longer or get stuck there another day.
Are you stuck?
I have good news for you!
Before the beginning of time God had you on His mind when He created the world. He knows you by name and knows exactly where you are right now. He says in Scripture, "Come and follow me."
But following Jesus requires every one of us to change.
Dig into Matthew 18:3 with me. (The highlighted emphasis is mine) And Jesus said:
" I tell you the truth, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom heaven."
As you become a Jesus follower and obey His ways your life will change. It is not possible to have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ the Son of God and remain the same.
I want to encourage you to keep your eyes fixed on Jesus and obeying His Word for your life. Grow with the Lord in 2012!
