"Then he asked them, “But who do you say I am?”
Simon Peter answered, “You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God.”
If someone would ask you who is Jesus to you? What would be your answer?
Do you believe in Jesus because your church told you to or because another person told you about faith?
One of the problems we face with our faith in Jesus Christ is we haven't taken the time or the discipline necessary to know what we believe and why.
Since we have not read the Bible for ourselves and found the answers to what and why we believe, we can very easily fall into false beliefs and religions.
The Bible warns believers and followers of Christ against this trap of false teachings numerous times.
Here are a few of the Scriptures that warn us to be in the Word of God:
Ephesians 4:14 Matthew 7:15-20
1 Timothy 1:3-4 2 Peter 2: 1-3
The only place to find the truth and foundation for what we believe is from the Word of God.
Do you search the Scriptures to find out the answers to your questions in life?
I say this all the time but I will say it again,
"There is nothing you can ask that God hasn't already answered in His Word."
If you are seeking the answer to your question with a pure and honest heart, God sees your heart and knows your motives and He will answer you.
If you are seeking the answer to your question with the goal to disprove or mock God, be very aware that God sees your heart and motive.
Do not be deceived, God will not be mocked. Galatians 6:7-8
Everyone needs to take time to read the Word of God.
If you are a mature believer who has been in the church all your life, you still need to read God's Word.
I Peter 3:15
"But in your hearts set Christ apart as holy [and acknowledge Him] as Lord. Always be ready to give a logical defense to anyone who asks you to account for the hope that is in you, but do it courteously and respectfully."
If you are seeking to know this God of salvation and want to get started or restarted with reading the Bible. I would like to suggest you start with the book of John in the New Testament.
As you read the Bible ask God to show up and reveal Himself to you and He Will!!!
Everyone has the same amount of time to live each day.
TWENTY FOUR HOURS EACH DAY.
I know you may be saying to yourself:
"You just don't understand, I don't have any extra time to read the Bible."
"I only have enough time to......................."
Then just like everyone else, you and I will need to give up something and replace it with God.
Start slow and easy and ask the Lord to help you find 15 minutes each day to read the Word of God.
Start planning. You may need to let something of less importance or insignificance go and take hold of God.
I promise you, if all you have is 15 minutes, God will take it and bless you in return.
May I encourage you to spend time with God not to receive a blessing but to get to know in a personal way the God and creator of your life.
You take the time and God will give!!!
Isaiah 55:11
"God's Word will not return empty!"
I want to encourage you to take time everyday to read your Bible and seek God.
Reading the Word of God everyday will change your life. You will receive the blessings from heaven as you dig into the Word of God.
With the incredible availability of technology today we are able to search and research Scriptures.
Go to www.Biblegateway.com and type in a word you would like to research in Scripture.

Start reading the Word and writing in a journal all the wonderful promises of God.
I'll be praying for you this week!
Seek the Lord while He may be found.
Today's Thought:
Lord, help me to take time for You and Read your Word!
I can't wait to hear from you and learn how the Lord is speaking to you from the Word of God.
