Positive Attitude

July 20

Galatians 6:9 "Let us not grow weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up!"

I woke up this morning thinking, Jayme, keep things positive! So I prayed,"Lord, I need Your help. Please help me to stay positive today and never give up."
Maybe you are waking up each morning in your home alone.  After work you have nothing planned for the day and you are thinking, ugh! "Just another boring day!"
Or, perhaps your  home is filled with kids or adults asking you questions and demanding things that wear you out. Just when you hear their voices calling for you... you are thinking, "I'm exhausted and so tired! I just don't have a good thing to say!"
Some of us will start the day with a positive "You and me God can do this today"! Midway through the day for some odd reason, WE WILL LOSE IT or WE WILL BE DUMPED ON by someone and  WE GIVE UP!
I want to encourage you to remember that God doesn't quit.
Philippians 1:6 "being confident of this, that He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus."
Isn't it great to know that God never quits. In the Bible you will find a great example of integrity and honor  when you read about  Joseph in Genesis 37-50.  He had many reasons to "give up" but instead  day after day he would do what was right and obey God.  After many hard years of testing and trials God moved Joseph from the prison to the palace. ALL IN ONE DAY. WOW! I really learned so much from the life of Joseph.  When you get a chance, grab your Bible and reread about this incredible man's life choices of honor.  Joseph choose to remain true to God although he didn't understand where God was leading him.
Be encouraged to spend time with the Lord in His Word and continue to pray seeking Him and His ways.  Never give up!
I have included this adorable "Daily Affirmation" youtube for you to watch. It makes me smile every time I watch it.  Children are a gift from God.
I call the memory verse for today the LETTUCE verse to help us remember the Scripture. The verse starts out with "Let us" not grow weary and ends with "never give up". Scripture Memorization is a great Pick me Up.  Try it! You can do it!
Memorized Scripture always helps me keep a positive attitude. How about you? How is your attitude?
