Do We Really Need to Read the Bible?

 Romans 15:4

"Such things were written in the Scriptures long ago to teach us. And the Scriptures give us hope and encouragement as we wait patiently for God’s promises to be fulfilled."

Are you living your life half-full or almost on empty?
Do you sometimes think to yourself, "If only I could see a little hope and encouragement in this situation?"
If we are not careful the day or even week could pass by very quickly and we will have spent the entire time living as a person without hope.
A life without Jesus is a life of no hope or encouragement.
Only until we recognize our need for a Savior and to read God's Word will we see the Hand of God moving in our lives.
I want to encourage you today to read God's word with a deep desire in your heart to come to know God more.
If you are willing to read the Words of the Lord Jesus Christ, God is willing and able to share His hope and encouragement to us, His followers.

"Don't stop reading this book of the Law, but day and night think of what it says, so you can be careful to do everything written in it; then you will prosper and succeed."
All of us have numerous distractions but the answer to becoming successful with your life is having Jesus Christ as your personal Savior and being committed to reading the Bible.
DON'T BE DISTRACTED!
"Jesus then said to the Jews who had believed in him, "If you continue in my word, you are truly my disciples,
and you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free."
TRUTH IS A PERSON
John 10:10
Jesus said, "I am the Way, the Truth and the Life. No one comes to the Father but by me."
Jesus is Truth!
As we read the Bible our eyes, mind and heart will be opened to the truth around and in us and we will begin to look at life with God's perspective.
Having a God perspective will help us with each situation we face whether it is pain, suffering, anger, bitterness, loneliness, sin, abandonment and so much more. There is nothing we will face on this earth that God has not covered in His Word.
God loves you and will reveal His love for you through the Scriptures He has written.
John 14:23-24
"And to this Jesus replied, “When a man loves me, he follows my teaching. Then my Father will love him, and we will come to that man and make our home within him. The man who does not really love me will not follow my teaching. Indeed, what you are hearing from me now is not really my saying, but comes from the Father who sent me."

If you are wondering where to begin your reading, I would like to suggest that you start with the book of John in the New Testament.
Your life will never be the same!!
Today's Thought:
I will seek God in His Word and be blessed!
