1 Corinthians 14:33
"For God is not a God of confusion or of disorder but He is a God of peace and order."
Have you seen this great poster?
KNOW GOD, and KNOW PEACE!
NO GOD and NO PEACE!
When you look at the following two verses you will see how PEACE and JOY are carefully linked together.
Romans 14:17
"For the Kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking, but of righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit."
Romans 15:13
"May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit."
When we are making decisions or need discernment there are a few areas to double check with God.
If we are struggling with confusion and disorder God tells us in Scripture this is not His will for us.
So what should we do?
Here is my personal experience and routine in life as I walk as a Christian through different aspects of decision making.
“Man's steps are ordered by the Lord.”
First, I begin to pray. "Lord, I know you are not a God of confusion so help me have clarity of mind and clear thoughts and wisdom from You. Lead me Holy Spirit on the path I should go. Protect me from the enemy that is trying to confuse me and make disorder in my life."
Second, I search the Scriptures and continue to read Christian material seeking to hear a Word of instruction from the Lord.
Third, During this time I wait on the Lord to provide guidance through the Holy Spirit. While I actively wait, I am constantly seeking, serving and sharing my faith with others.
Now it is your turn.
Fight the confusion! Take hold of the disorder in the name of Jesus.
Peace will give you life.
Psalm 37:37
“…there is a future for the man of peace.”
Today’s Thought:
Dear Jesus, I know You are not a God of confusion please help me seek and live in the place of Peace and Order. Amen!
