Runners

Proverbs 4:12-13
"When you walk, you won't be held back;when you run, you won't stumble. Take hold of my instructions;don't let them go. Guard them, for they are the key to life."

Did you ever think about how many runners are in the Bible?
Some people ran away from God like: Jonah, the Prodigal Son and Hagar.
Others ran to get closer to God and God's people like: David, Samuel and Mary Magdalene.


WHICH WAY AM YOU RUNNING?


All of us are in a Life Marathon that will be challenging,refreshing and exhausting at times but we are not running alone. When we are running to follow God's plan for our lives, Jesus says he has sent the Holy Spirit to run with us. We are never alone. John 14:15-16


You and I are running in a Marathon to fulfill God's plan and destiny for our lives. If you have surrended your life to Jesus Christ this fact is very exciting!


How are you running and what is your direction?


No matter what obstacles you are facing today in your run, God is in control.
God promises He will work it all for good. Romans 8:28
God is trustworthy and faithful. 1 John 1:9


Seek the Lord's will and plan for your life.


Good News! God has a plan and you have a purpose. Jer. 29:11-13
As soon as you hear that statement do you roll your eyes or think negative?
May I encourage you change your thinking to a God Perspective Thinking from Heaven. When you make a conscience choice to change your thinking, you will  see a difference in your life and so will the people around you.


Ask God:
God, what is your plan? You created me and I want to be the godly person who lives your plan for my life.


You may be thinking:
But...I'm afraid I won't like whatever plan God has for me. 
So...I'm just avoiding the question.


Here is the Scripture in reply:
1 John 1:15-17
If you are out of God's will for your life, you will not like the life you are living anyway. It would not be wise to avoid God for your entire lifetime on earth.


Why should I seek God's plan if I know I won't like it?
God is your creator and designer of your life!
When you love Jesus and He is Lord of your life, you will Trust His Plan and You will find peace.
At some point in our lives we may all need reminded of God's goodness and plan. Take a moment today and reverse your negative direction and seek the goodness of God and the Joy of your salvation in Jesus.
Be encouraged to restore your relationship with Christ and start running again towards Him. Leave your old self and the world behind. Don't even look back!


There are no perfect lives on this earth. God's plan for your life will not always be happy but it will always be holy with His presence, if you seek Him with all of your heart.
There are no guarantee's of forever happiness but only God's Holiness.
Nothing is easy but everything is eternal.
Jesus came to give us life and give it to His followers abundantly.
John 10:10


How you choose to run your Marathon on this earth is up to you.
I am praying for you to choose life! Deuteronomy 30:19-20

Lord, help me keep running into Your Perfect love and will for life!


Take some time and read and research each one of the verses listed above.


Seek the Lord during this Marathon and when you cross the finish line you will
Run Into His Arms!!!
