GOD IS MY HOPE

Psalm 25:5
“Lead me by Your truth and teach me, for you are the God who saves me.
All day long I put my hope in you.”

Now that I am a Grandmother and will be adding more grand children in the near future I pay much more attention to names and wonder if they have any meaning.  So far, some of my favorite names for children are: Joy, Grace, and  Hope. (I have three or four for boys as well)

I smile when I say the name Joy. I have never met a Joy that I didn’t like!
There are more than 300 Scripture verses about Joy. My favorite verse is:
Nehemiah 8:10 “The joy of the Lord is my strength.”

I have met women with the name of Grace from 3 years old to 80 years old and I immediately make a pleasant sigh every time we talk. AHhhhhhh….God’s Grace!
Romans 6:14 “I live under the freedom of God’s grace.”

Over the past few years I have been in a Bible Study with a beautiful woman whose name is Hope. I know this may seem strange but each time I would say her name or think of her I would smile and recall,  “God is my hope.”
Psalm 62:5 “Let all that I am, wait quietly before God, for my hope is in Him.”

There is a beautiful worship song HE KNOWS MY NAME by Tommy Walker that reminds me every time I sing it of just how special our name is to the Lord. The lyrics to the chorus goes like this:
(You may want to you tube this one for encouragement)
Chorus:
He knows my name, He knows my every thought, He sees each tear that falls,
And hears me when I call. God hears me when I call.

Did you know that?
Did you know that God knows your name? Isaiah 49:16
God knew you before you were born! Psalm 139:13
You are so special to Him that He counts each tear that falls down your cheek and He keeps them in a jar in heaven. (I know some of us have filled many buckets!)
Psalm 56:8 You may want to grab your Bible to read and underline each one of these verses for encouragement in the future for yourself or to share with a friend.

The devil is the Father of Lies (John 8:44) and he wants you to think that God doesn’t exist or if He does exist, He doesn’t care about you. Don’t be deceived my friend, the devil only comes to kill, steal and destroy (John 10:10). Here is the truth: God is alive and active today and He is sitting on the Throne and in complete control. He sees you right were you are and wants to be your Lord and Savior.
Call out to Him right now and spend the rest of your earthly time walking with Jesus and not with the devil and alone.
God’s Phone number:
Jeremiah 33:3 “Call unto me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things that you do not know.”
Right now is the best time of your life to call out to God. Repent and receive a new heart in Jesus Christ for eternal life.
