Revelation 22:16
The Christmas story begins with the Wisemen following a star
to find the baby Jesus and ends in Revelation where Jesus says, “I am the
Bright Morning Star”
Have you ever experience days and days of gloomy weather?
Have you ever longed for just one sunny day? Have you ever missed when the sky is full of bright stars shining in the night?
Jesus tells us to focus on Him because He is our Bright
Morning Star. He has the power to shine through the darkness. In Jesus Christ
there is no darkness for the believer.
“If I say, “Surely the darkness will hide me and the light
become night around me,” even the darkness will not be dark to you; the night
will shine like the day, for darkness is as light to You.” (Psalm 139:11-12)
“I see him, but not now; I behold him, but not near; A star
will come out of Jacob; a scepter will rise out of Israel.” (Numbers 24:17)
Today and all year long are you willing to keep your eyes
focused on the Bright Morning Star as the Lord of your life?
Be encouraged. Today is a new day to begin with the hope and
joy you have as a believer in Christ your Bright Morning Star.
Prayer:
Lord, our Bright Morning Star, I love You and long to see
Your shining light. In You there
is no darkness. In You, I have hope and joy as You shine brighter than all
other stars. In You, because You are the Bright Morning Star, every morning is
a new day. Shine Your light on my
life and guide each step I take so my life will bring glory to You.
